Last week G2 welcomed our nine 2018 summer interns. This year’s interns joined us from up and down the East coast; they are from Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and New York. Collectively, they bring a diverse set of skills and experiences, to which we will proudly add.
They spent their first week integrating with their teams, run by G2 mentees, supporting four diverse projects focusing on Network Analysis, DevOps, Software Development and Hardware Engineering. We’re looking forward to sharing their G2 journey with you all.
Next up, we took our interns along with their mentees to enjoy some classic Maryland steamed crabs at Cantler's Riverside Inn.
To drive home why we do what we do, G2 asked the National Cryptologic Museum to provide a tour for our interns showing the history of cryptology and the foundation of the National Security Agency.
Not all we do is for fun, but everything we do is fun. Our hardware interns drew up a controller for their robot and then had it made at a factory. Now, let's see what they can control with the robot.
We're midway through our internship program and our brilliant interns presented where they are on their projects. If this is any indication of what the future holds for our interns, they're going to have bright futures.
After working hard on their projects, it was time to reward our interns with with some good ol' fashion laser tag fun.
It's been 10 weeks and we couldn't be more proud of what this year's group of interns and mentors were able to accomplish. These are pictures from each team's final capstone project on: socially conscious network analysis, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, DevOps environment development and working with FPGAs.
Thanks for a great summer!!
